This acrylic on bark painting has a vibrant red ochre background with yellow ochre featuring on the top and bottom of the bark. The barramundi is centre piece surrounded by hands that would reach out and capture it.

The blue dots represent the water and the green stylized leaves. This is my favourite fish to catch. It inhabits mangrove estuaries and freshwater streams. While it does not occur in the offshore waters of the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea, a look-alike called sand bass is found on the inner reefs of the Great Barrier Reef and on coastal reefs.
