I was inspired by the event in Parliament House Canberra where the Prime Minister said sorry to Indigenous people for the stolen generation – 13 February 2008. This abstract work shows the body painting, with red and yellow ochres, of Aborigines for a corroboree or brun.

They are dancing to celebrate victory over injustice. The Aboriginal flag is centre painting. There is a sense of movement and joy in the work. All people can play a role in bringing justice, freedom and reconciliation to our nation of Australia.
