Grandad had a well near his house. From Tepon Road (Wondecla) to his house was a long dirt track, a bumpy ride. Grandad had tanks that stored a lot of rain water and the well was used for baths and washing clothes. I remember times when I’d go down to this well and splash water on my face. Above it lay a big log which was very old. We loved walking across the log and playing on it.
