The mangrove mudflats along the Cairns esplanade inspired me to do this art work. Many times during my morning and evening walks, I see and hear not only human movement but also the ocean, wind, waves, animals, birds, fish and crabs. The egrets in the left and right of the painting are decorated with Aboriginal designs. They are wading around in the mangrove mudflats. There is a crab in the centre of the painting and fish above and below it.
