I draw inspiration from my walks through the rainforest – the coolness of the sun peering through the strong, tall trees, the sounds of animal and bird life, water life, rainforest, streams and waterfalls. The rainforest provides much for the indigenous people (Bama) – food, shelter, tools and weapons. As well as needing ground skills to hunt and gather, it was important to be able to climb trees.
