Near Grandad’s camp was a large imposing rock. We loved to play on it when we visited Grandad. Colleen, Thomas, Lillian and I would stand, sit or lie on it. We would slide on it sometimes. As we had few toys in the bush, we used this rock to play hide and seek and other games. There was dry, brown grass around it and the sun would beat down on us and the termite mound to the right of the rock.
