On the beautiful drive from Cairns to Port Douglas, I decided to stop and look, knowing it will be my next painting. I saw the mangroves but it was the sandbar and its shape that took my interest. It was so white, even as the radiance of the sun beamed down. I watched the waves gently coming in.
